About our club:

We‘re a community for generating interest in Mineralogy, Paleontology and the Lapidary Arts in Central New York! 


Our interests include: 

  • Learning about fossils, rocks & minerals. 
  • Rock Hounding & Field Trips
  • Educating & raising awareness of the geologic wonders in our region.
  • Gemstone jewelry design and creation. 
  • We offer Lapidary classes & Workshops. 
  • Enjoying the out of doors, nature and time with old and new friends.

Monthly Meetings at the Clubhouse

Our monthly meetings provide a lively social and educational experience. It's a great time to get together and have fun, find new opportunities, and enjoy presentations on adventurous topics by members and experts sharing their field of interest. Stay for our raffles or auctions and pick up a tool or a new specimen.  We also have a Junior Rockhounds club for kids!
