Doors open at 6:00PM - come early if selling!
Bring lots of cash because it’s time for our annual rowdy evening of bidding battles, great prizes and lots of laughs! You never know what comes across our auction table: cool specimens, rockhounding tools, jewelry & lapidary supplies… and more! You can be a seller, a bidder or both. Learn the Lapidary Arts
Our Beginners Lapidary Course & Certification gives you skills to cut and polish your rocks, get access to the lapidary shop & equipment (Saturdays 1-4) for all your creative gemstone ventures… PLUS be qualified for our new Advanced classes!

We‘re a club for people who enjoy interests in Mineralogy, Paleontology, Earth Sciences and the Lapidary Arts in Central New York!
Our interests include:
- Learning about fossils, rocks & minerals.
- Rock Hounding & Field Trips
- Educating & raising awareness of the geologic wonders in our region.
- Gemstone jewelry design and creation.
- We offer Lapidary classes & Workshops.
- Enjoying the out of doors, nature and time with old and new friends.
GMSS is a 501(c)(3) Public, non profit organization.
Monthly Meetings at the Clubhouse
Our monthly meetings provide a lively social and educational experience. It's a great time to get together and have fun, find new opportunities, and enjoy presentations on adventurous topics by members and experts sharing their field of interest. Stay for our raffles or auctions and pick up a tool or a new specimen. We also have a Junior Rockhounds club for kids!
