An expert on Middle Devonian paleontology and stratigraphy of the Finger Lakes region of NYS, Stephen served as a Collections Assistant at the Paleontological Research Institute in Ithaca. He is a graduate of SUNY Fredonia, with an M.S. in the Geological Sciences.

William is a Geology Professor at Colgate University, where he teaches aMIneralogy and Geochemistry. His research with students focuses on the geologic evolution of the Adirondacks.
