John is founder of FS Hunter and manufactures UV flashlights to keep the hobby affordable for people that want to search for fluorescent minerals.

Owner of Fabulous Keokuk Geodes, Stephen has an incredible style of entertaining by opening up whole geodes and revealing to his audience their wonders inside. 

Tracey leads the Jr. Rockhounds youth group at our Club. She is also a Girl Scout Leader, and Special Education Pre-Kindergarten Teacher. 

Bill teaches lapidary classes in cutting and polishing stone at our Skill Center with over 45 years experience as a Jeweler and Lapidary Artist. 

Dave is Vice President of our Club, field trip and fossil expert passionate about educating others on the interests of paleontology and rockhounding as a group experience.

David and his daughter are owners of The Syracuse Salt Company. The salt industry wasn’t a side note in Syracuse’s story; it was the headline. And Syracuse Salt Co. is proud to carry forward the legacy of this essential mineral. Our Local Flake Salt is hand-harvested from a deep well that taps into the same ancient seabed beneath Onondaga Lake reimagined with a modern, small-batch twist.  

Len is a Presidential Awardee in Science Teaching. He is past president of the Science Teachers Association of NY and the National Earth Science Teachers.

Susan Sharp is a retired Earth Science and Astrobiology teacher. One of her favorite pastimes is hunting for and creating with sea glass.
